Among judges, Judith Kaye, former Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals, is an alumna; Dennis G. Jacobs, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit is an alumnus. Judge Pauline Newman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit also graduated from NYU Law.[2] NYU Law alumni have served as judges of the International Court of Justice, which is popularly known as the World Court,[3] and of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
